Additional information

This Fixed Sphere Decoder is for multiple antenna detection and provides near-optimal performance, using a fixed number of operations. The algorithm can easily be implemented in parallel processors. The technique led to a collaboration with KTH Stockholm on its performance evaluation (DoI:10.1109/TSP.2009.2017574), a multi-university EPSRC project on hardware implementation (EP/F03072X/1,EP/F030592/1,EP/F030657/1,EP/F031017/1) and an industrial project on detection algorithms with Cognovo (Gordon Aspin, email available). The algorithm has been introduced as a key detection method by Linkoping University (DoI:10.1109/MSP.2009.932126) and used as a bench-mark for comparison by leading research groups at Georgia Tech and T.U. Dresden (DoI:10.1109/JSTSP.2009.2035800).
