Additional information

<22>This paper presents an adaptive combination of heuristics with the inclusion of a heuristic modifier. It describes an approach that is designed to be simple and effective, and easy to implement in a commercial system. It is rigorously tested on two major international benchmark datasets which have been widely considered in the scientific literature. The method was motivated by the needs of our spin-out company EventMAP, which provides a mechanism for realising the method’s significant potential commercial impact.
