Additional information

The recovery film is significant as it was made by a service user. J Carson wrote the grant application and the film was funded by the South London and Maudsley Charitable Trustees (the film cost £21k to make and the booklet of the film, £5k). The film is the only professionally made recovery film that has been made by a service user. It was shortlisted for a Mind Media Award.

J Carson wrote this paper. It tells the story of the making of a film about recovery. The film was made by a woman with a major mental health problem and features four individuals diagnosed with psychosis, see www.slam.nhs.uk/patients/recovery.aspx
