Obbink's contribution to this volume, published in honour of Peter Parsons and John Rea, consisted in overseeing 21 of the 36 papyri published in this volume (literary papyri); selection and assignment to contributors of unpublished papyri from the Oxyrhynchus collection; reading, correcting, and commenting on draft editions, translations and commentaries; and coordination of indices. In addition to the four papyri that he was solely responsible for editing, he was co-editor of two; he was sole author of the preface, organiser for the literary part of the table of contents, and made all the images for the papyri in the volume.
