Additional information

This work, in collaboration with ESR (ESR are the major provider of forensic science support to NZ Police) describes the first consideration in the forensic science literature of the effect of the burial environment on the degradation of modern clothing. Previous work within archaeological science has considered historical fabrics, however modern synthetic fabrics have not be considered. The work provides guidance on the effects of two burial environments on men’s shirting fabrics.
