Additional information

Output from a collaboration with ERIKS (UK), Severn Trent Water and Compact Orbital Gears, within a DTI (UK) project Sustain: grant STI 6-037. The proposed technology, with early in-service automatic differential damage diagnosis capability, was further funded by SKF (UK) and experimentally validated for bearings: Project reference 023925, (Dr. Murray, brian.murray@skf.com). Implementation of this technology has enabled Sustain partners and SKF to maintain a world-leading edge in maintenance (market share of 8% envisaged with annual sale of 2000 monitoring systems). (Contact: Mr. Ohren, David.Manning-Ohren@eriks.co.uk)

Further development will be funded by European project IndGear: grant agreement number 605834.
