Additional information

This research provided insight into mechanisms of transonic axial compressor stability enhancement through case injection and examined the potential for performance improvement at off-design operation regimes. This research has led to the demonstration of cost-effective methodologies that help to reduce the performance degradation under near-stall conditions in transonic compressors. The case injection concept has attracted interest in the high speed turbomachinery sector being adopted in research papers of leading aerospace companies, GE Global Research and GE Aviation, United States.
