Additional information

<17>The user profile, and its behaviour, described here sits at the heart of our research on adaptive information filtering. It has been taken forward as NOOWIT, an adaptive newsreader and autonomous magazine publishing platform, recently launched in Beta version (www.noowit.com). It has generated interest in the press this summer, for instance here (http://www.searchenginejournal.com/noowit-is-google-reader-flipboard-paper-li/65144/) and has been presented as an alternative to flipboard and Google Reader. NOOWIT (and Nikolaos Nanas) won the 2013 national innovation competition Kainotomeis in the ""Applied Research"" category. See http://www.kainotomeis.gr/ for TV coverage (about 1.45 mins into the programme).
