Additional information

Pilcrow and Cedilla are the first two parts of a projected million-word novel presenting the life experience of a narrator who is both a member of a minority within a minority within a minority (gay / disabled / Hindu of Christian parents) and nevertheless some sort of Everyman, negotiating a world of intensive restriction and great richness from the early years of the National Health Service to somewhere near the present. The reference points for this sort of humorous epic-without-events are Proust and the Joyce of Ulysses.
