Additional information

This work contributed to developing a strong research base in the South West via the SWRDA (ERDF) funded Peninsula Research Institute of Marine Renewable Energy (PRIMaRE), led on to associate membership of SuperGen Marine and to two Grand Challenge Research projects investigating survivability and performance of wave energy devices using similar numerical approaches (EP/J010235/1 & EP/K012177/1). Further EPSRC supported research investigating numerical modelling of wave impact has taken place at PU and the work has been developed elsewhere for simulating geyser phenomena and multi-phase flows in microfluidics and micro process engineering
