Additional information

This paper introduces an original new concept of using nanoporous metal organic framework (MOF) particles to construct microstructures in a liquid-liquid dispersion system. This provides exceptional functional opportunities to use the nanopore for controlled delivery of biological active gases such as NO, CO, and H2S for medical applications, and to use the pore and metal species in the MOF for more efficient catalysis in a mild environment. This is opening up a new research field, as the reviewers pointed out.
