Additional information

Peeters chaired the neutron calibration group of this new, geometrically complicated detector system that was added to the SNO detector to obtain the measurement of the total B-8 neutrino flux described in this paper. He designed the calibration programme and developed a novel way to calibrate the experiment using 24Na mixed into the D2O target volume. He participated on the analysis of the data, from the development of the Monte-Carlo simulation to gain a detailed understanding of the response of the counters, to the final analysis strategy.
