Additional information

The originality is derived from software process improvement (SPI) initiatives across 6 organisations. This set of longitudinal studies provided the data for the analysis. This research evaluates a well-cited previous work published in IST, 2007. The rigour of the analysis came from utilising the 2007 analytical framework. The significance is borne out through the establishment of a PhD studentship, as a direct result of the paper, with Primavera in Portugal, and a subsequent invited keynote talk to CMMI Portugal Conference 2013.
