Additional information

This paper summarizes a joint research between academia and the Oil Industry. Research discusses the contribution of ocean waves in mixing the upper ocean layers and it was supported by the Australian Research Council, Woodside Energy Ltd (paper Co-author - J. McConochie, jason.mcconochie@gmail.com). and the European Union through a Marie Curie Research Training Network. The work is a basis for understanding heat and gas exchange at the air-sea interface in tropical storms. Industry is particularly supportive in this field on research for safety of those oil and gas platforms deployed in Tropical seas.
