Additional information

Funded by a KTP programme, this work has been used by the Cutty Sark conservation team to aid decision making and guide the conservation programme. Results from this work were used by the structural engineers (contact Buro Happold) and the Trust to ensure that the new support structure for the ship was safe. This work has led to a new KTP project to help conserve the Medway Queen in Chatham. The work was also awarded best KTP project for London in 2009, and contributed to the team’s Times Higher Education Award of Outstanding Research Team of the Year (2009).
