Additional information

C.3 This extensive book chapter is an excellent showcase for the deployment of autonomic computing to manage complexity in a real-time safety-critical system. The project represents an early and significant example of the transition of autonomic computing from the theory domain into real-world systems.

The chapter places my core work on policy-based run-time configuration and control into context with the various application use-case requirements and design challenges of the project and with the techniques used to build the middleware, and ensure its robustness and flexibility.
