Context-aware adaptation in DySCAS
This paper presents my work as part of the EU FP7 Project DySCAS. This is a real-time, safety-critical application domain with very specific constraints on safety, context-awareness and timing, and demonstrates the flexibility and suitability of my work to some very challenging scenarios. This paper is important because we pushed forward the boundaries of adaptive middleware systems, and concretised some earlier abstract aspects. We showed how our policy-based configuration mechanism operates robustly and recovers from internal failures automatically – a significant contribution for trustable autonomic systems. This paper also demonstrates my international collaboration with a leading mechatronics team at KTH, Stockholm. Citations 8.
