I.2.4This paper describes my policy-based computing technology, AGILE, with particular focus on the integration of support for self-stabilisation. This was a highly innovative step for the development of strategic control logic for policy-based autonomic systems; contributing to the robustness, trustability and thus acceptance of these systems. As one of the first papers to explicitly address the issue of stability in autonomic systems from an implementation viewpoint it demonstrates my novel contribution to this field.

This has been the springboard for later works that have made inroads into interoperability, stability, trustworthiness and certification which are otherwise under-addressed areas for autonomic computing.
