Additional information

This is an RAEng study, subject to robust scrutiny by the Academy’s Engineering Policy Committee. For the first time, this report rigorously identified the engineering challenge in the 2008 Climate Change Act. It achieved wide press coverage, including BBC, Times, FT. Read by ministers in DECC, DEFRA, DfT. Kemp has discussed it with Select Committee on Energy and Climate Change and was interviewed on BBC’s The World Tonight, with the Secretary of State. It has had a major impact on public debate on what is needed to meet the 2008 Act targets and the scale of commitment required.
