Faith in schools: religion, education, and American evangelicals in East Africa
Data collection in Africa spanned 2000 – 2006 plus visits to US Christian Universities and the Billy Graham Archives in Illinois. The 272-page book was largely written during a 9-month sabbatical when a Visiting Scholar with the African Studies Program - University of Toronto. Chapters 4-6 are each equivalent to one journal article, as each deal with different countries (Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda) therefore with three separate research trips and three substantially different literatures: Tanzania on national language policy; Kenya on the national system of HE; and Uganda on a geographically remote field site requiring review of an obscure literature.
