Additional information

This paper draws on a major study of the role of school leadership in shaping pupils educational outcomes in England funded by the DfE & National College. It is the first study to identify effective and improving schools based on national value added data across three successive years and link survey results from head teachers and key staff to provide measures of school processes. Results contributed to a BERA Keynote Symposium in 2010. It received the 2012 Outstanding Paper Award in the Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence.
