The primary focus of the paper is on accelerating the classical solution to the multi-layered sphere excitation problem. This paper was the first to develop an asymptotic extraction model to enhance the convergence of dyadic Green’s functions in spherical media. The proposed model offers fundamental improvements in computational electromagnetics modelling of spherical antennas as it avoids the limitations and complexity of standard approaches that are based on the Watson and Shanks transformations.
