Additional information

<23> Molar pregnancy represents forms of abnormal conception caused by defective fertilisation. Other workers reported that the diagnosis of these moles at early gestational ages continues to be a problem for many practicing and experienced histopathologists. This paper proposes a computational image analysis approach which combines expert heuristic morphological criteria with the Fuzzy C-Means algorithm. A system is also being developed which should help improve the diagnosis and classification of molar pregnancy.
