Double-weighted statement

This book is based on a 3-year AHRC-funded research project, which included collecting and analysing interviews with 50 participants in the Bosnia intervention, undertaken in 5 European countries. The recordings and transcripts are lodged in the Imperial War Museum Archives. It also involved an on-site visit to a Ministry of Defence establishment, discussions with 8 officers and one civilian currently serving in language support operations, and discussions with leading practitioners in translating and interpreting. The book is approximately 85,000 words long.
