Additional information

<17> This paper is one of the first papers to evaluate the application of quantum probabilities for information retrieval. The results show that the performance of the applied formalism is comparable to standard methods in information retrieval. This is promising as the formalism allows for more complex retrieval functions to support different information seeking and searching tasks, as discussed in the paper. The paper can be regarded as one of the foundations of a new direction in information retrieval. For instance, a successful paper at SIGIR 2013 was building upon this work.
