Additional information

This paper appeared on a peer-reviewed technical journal for image and video coding. This article proposed a novel algorithm to tackle the technical challenge of high computational requirement of Mode Selection for H.264 based on a Bayesian Framework. This paper provides a great foundation for our future research in this area. The outcome of this paper can be applied to speed up video compression in power-constrained applications. This work has been conducted in collaboration with Prof. Maja Bystrom at Boston University, USA.
