This work defines a number of novel mathematical models for how fault-tolerance can be achieved in a mobile parallel computing domain through the means of various check pointing strategies. The models as defined in the article through theorems and proofs demonstrate how best to facilitate mobile fault tolerance dependent on the type of computation and the inherent cost of application execution.
