Additional information

This study is unique in that it assesses cases corresponding to Reynolds numbers non achievable by other numerical techniques. It was fundamental in improving our understanding of mixing and of the fundamental effect of particle mass on clustering. The effect of the Stokes number and Drift parameter are identified and calibrated. Analytical relations have been proposed on the effect of inertia on Lagragian topology. It provides the only benchmark set of results at large Reynolds numbers that can be used for validating classical CFD methods.
