Additional information

This paper highlights the development of a novel online telemetric impeller pressure sensor system in a high shear granulator (HSG) and mechanistic modelling of the blade-granule bed stress. A correction parameter was introduced to account for bed fluidisation. Knowledge of the stress is useful for studying granule growth kinetics and growth behaviour, ultimately to characterise granule properties. The model can be extended to HSGs of different designs and applied in HSG scale-up.
