Fair exchange of valuable information: A generalised framework
<19> This paper is the first to propose a generic symmetric-key based framework for fair exchanges of valuable information through digital signatures and cryptographic keys in e-commerce applications. This novel framework incorporates a set of signature schemes, offers three generalised functions for symmetric-key based verifiably encrypted signatures and keys, and provides a generic protocol to accomplish various exchange scenarios. A thorough analysis is presented to assure the framework’s security. A comparison with related work reveals the framework’s significance in terms of offering a much more efficient, generic and simpler solution to securing fair exchanges.
