The paper presents theoretical modelling, confirmed by experimental results, that provides a solution to balancing demands of control, stability and dynamic performance for the connection of power inverters in parallel. This is relevant to the connection of renewable energy sources to the electricity gird. This work has led to additional research funding from Ofgem’s Low Carbon Networks Tier 2 Fund (£180k) CLASS II project in collaboration ENWL* and Manchester University.
