Additional information

This paper was written in order to understand the potential for the use of second life vehicle batteries in Smart Homes. It built upon the successful CHEER project and opened up the possibility of creating a financially viable second use for used battery packs. It has opened up the opportunity to collaborate with Sunderland City Council, Gentoo Social Housing and Zero Carbon Futures to create a new type of SMART home.
