Additional information

This paper is one among many papers published in in collaboration with Ain Shams University in Egypt. This project is fully supported by the Egyptian government to help enhancing Vehicle Safety. This paper produced detailed solution of controlling VDCS to enhance crashworthiness and to reduce fatalities. The control system developed in this paper clarifies the effects of VDCS on collisions mitigation and produces suggestions for optimum scenarios. The outcome of this paper is now being used as a base to develop a novel control system to significantly reduce fatalities and to eliminate severe dynamic response due ring impact. The outcome of this work has attracted potential partners in Europe to investigate it further as a potential direction of vehicle safety enhancement.
