Additional information

The output presents the first wireless passive radar detection system based on a software-defined radio architecture. It demonstrates experimentally the system’s ability to detect and discern individual and multiple personnel targets. The prototype reported has now been developed into a real-time commercial demonstrator. An accompanying patent is currently being prepared (D Young Intellectual Property), funding for which is being provided by UCL-Business (UCLB). The work has also led to more than £100,000 in Enterprise funding to commercialise the technology (EPSRC Enterprise Award - £58,559 and the UCL Discovery to Use Grant - £53,875).
