Additional information
Information on the water retention, compressibility and volumetric changes of partially saturated lime-treated clays is of particular relevance to projects of ground improvement using artificial soil cementation. To our knowledge there are no results in the literature on these soils produced by sophisticated suction controlled testing. This EPSRC-funded research (EP/037305/1) provides novel data that are analysed in a form familiar to practising engineers so that they can readily be used in relevant engineering problems.
