The jumping performance of the robot presented in this paper is ten times better compared to similar other systems. This makes it an outstanding robotic platform for mobile sensing in rough terrain. The work has been awarded the best paper award at IEEE IROS (http://tinyurl.com/bc4hr48) and IEEE ROBIO (http://tinyurl.com/abcdgh4), the Fondation Marguerite prize (http://tinyurl.com/bt6efhv), the cover page of Autonomous Robots (http://tinyurl.com/a72hpf7) which is a top 3 journal in robotics (http://tinyurl.com/co2v7hu) and a nomination for the EPFL best PhD thesis award (http://tinyurl.com/cu3wgq4). Furthermore, it has received wide international media attention (http://tinyurl.com/KovacMediaCoverage) ncluding coverage from New Scientist, BBC and New York Times.
