Additional information

The paper describes the first application of the two-sided second-order Arnoldi method (TS-SOAR) to structural-acoustic problems, and is applied to the ABAQUS benchmark structural-acoustic strongly coupled problem, a semi-circular water-filled shell. This work developed out of a collaboration with Adelaide University, and the matrices developed as part of these simulations are now part of the University of Florida Sparse Matrix collection. The work had also been included as part of the lecture notes on the MIT Model Order Reduction website.
