Greek Political Imagery: from Homer to Aristotle

This output is the fruit of a sustained long-term programme of research, over a period of 25+ years. It analyses a considerable body of material, including all of archaic and classical Greek literature, the gathering of which required a lengthy period of data collection, and on that foundation the argument spans a time-frame from the early archaic to the end of the classical period, addressing both historical and literary aspects of the theme. It therefore represents a research effort equivalent to that required for at least two substantial outputs.
