These high-resolution LES/DNS simulations of scalar dispersion within and above idealized urban street/roughness arrays confirm the importance of new dispersion mechanisms (topological, secondary source, etc.) in determining the level and distribution of contaminants (e.g. CBRN hazards) in the vicinity of a source.
