Additional information

This work demonstrated the world’s smallest fluorimeter for biological and chemical sensing. This integrated and highly parallel micro-fluorimeter was the subject of an invited talk at LED-2010 (Seoul). A university spin-out company mLED Ltd. was established in 2011 [CEO: jim.bonar@mled-ltd.com] and is investigating commercialisation of this device. Peking University [Hu, huxd@pku.edu.cn] has used the device to characterize inorganic semiconductor materials and has collaborated with Strathclyde to further develop the technology.
