Additional information

Output from work supported by the NERC UK Carbon Capture and Storage Consortium (NE/C516528/1), with Cockerill as Institutional lead Investigator supervising PDRA Odeh. The paper demonstrates the importance of lifecycle assessment of CCS, gaining broad attention, including citation in POST note 383 (http://goo.gl/6OGKw) and Hansard (http://www.publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm201011/cmhansrd/cm110620/text/110620w0005.htm) with a supporting paper cited in ICE report “Building a Sustainable Future”(http://www.ice.org.uk/getattachment/75ab26c8-fc21-40ef-a0d8-548dae834144/ICE-low-carbon-infrastructure-trajectory---2050.aspx, p30). In consequence, Cockerill was invited to address MEPs on the need for LCA in devising energy policy, at a EURACOAL meeting in 2011 (http://www.euracoal.org/pages/medien.php?idpage=938). As of 2013, listed as one of the most cited papers in Energy Policy since 2008.
