This paper presents a generic algorithm that allows the computational modeling of a full anatomical joint model based on biphasic properties with the support from ORSAS and EPSRC EP/F043872/1. It complements the experimental part of EPSRC programme grant “Tribology of Cartilage and Cartilage Substitution” EP/G012172/1 > £5m 2009-2014. Research method is now being applied in collaborative industry research in partnership with Tissue Regenix (http://www.tissueregenix.com/) and supported by collaborative award through EPSRC/TSB IKC in Regenerative Therapies and Devices EP/G032483/1 to characterize decellularised meniscus as a biphasic material and to develop novel manufacturing metrology methods for quality assurance of partial meniscus product.
