Pormann is the sole editor of this volume, assisted in the technical editing of the volume by Aileen Das, Uwe Vagelpohl, Peter Joosse, and Bink Hallum. The volume contains Pormann’s authored ‘introduction’ (pp. 1–14); three co-authored articles, two with N. Peter Joosse (‘Commentaries on the Hippocratic Aphorisms in the Arabic Tradition: The Example of Melancholy’ on pp. 211–249 (contribution 70%); and ‘?Abd al-La?if al-Bagdadi’s Commentary on Hippocrates’ “Prognostic”: A Preliminary Exploration’ on pp. 251–83 (contribution 40%); and one with Bink Hallum, N. Peter Joosse, Simon Swain, Uwe Vagelpohl ‘A New Manuscript: Istanbul, Sьleymaniye Kьtьphanesi, MS Ayasofya 3592’ (contribution 25%).
