Additional information

<9> Previous research in software quality assurance has focussed on investigating issues within code written in a single language within a range of domains, concentrating on the use of Fortran to develop scientific and engineering models. This paper proposes an extension to the concepts developed previously to facilitate the analysis of software models developed using a range of programming languages. This is an important contribution to the existing work as it will validate the developed processes within a much wider context. The Journal of Software is an important outlet for this work as it targets relevant communities; academia and engineering communities.
