Paper presents method of combining accelerometer and gyroscope measurements taken using miniature sensors to give high-accuracy orientation information to track movement of human arm. Paper formed important part of scientific case for NIHR Invention for Innovation Feasibility Grant (No. II-FS-0109-11081, £97k, 2009-10) which in turn lead to Invention for Innovation Development Grant (No. II-AR-0410-12030, £426k, 2011-4) to assist multiple-sclerosis patients with upper-limb tremor.
