Additional information

<01> Powerline communications provide a good and feasible alternative to currently offered home networking solutions. Its inherent features of use of existing infrastructure, wide availability and high data rate (up to 480 Mb/s) make power-line communication capable of fulfilling the requirements of multiple high definition TV channels over the Internet, whole-home sound systems containing a compact-disc (CD) player, iPod and iPad docking stations, speakers, amplifiers, and online gaming. This work was part of an EPSRC funded project (EP/D033950/1) and produced a PhD thesis titled “Ultra wideband gigabit powerline communication” by Shuxian Chen.
