Additional information

<30> The paper presents a novel risk assessment and optimisation model to solve security countermeasure selection problems for computer systems, which was carried out as part of a three-year EPSRC-funded project (worth £60, 864). The model and approach developed here have contributed to six publications in international journals and conferences. A developed multi-objective tabu search algorithm implementing the model proposed from this paper, has proven to work based on the experiments, which bridges the gap between theory and implementation as most of the models proposed in the existing literature are hypothetical rather than practical.
