Additional information

This is a comprehensive study of the highly nonlinear dynamics of PAAm solutions in microfluidic contraction flows at different contraction ratios, highlighting the effects of different polymers, molecular weight and molecular weight distributions. The relaxation spectrum of PAAm solution in frequency up to 6650 has been obtained. It demonstrates the feasibility of Rheo-chip technology for use as a miniaturized rheometer for high throughput rheological characterizations. It is of significance to formulation design and processing control in 3D ink-jet printing, high-speed fiber spinning and coating, drug delivery, and oil recovery from porous media. A World-wide patent application has been filed (WO-2012017246)..
