Additional information

Design rules for the preparation of cocrystals are seen as highly relevant to industrial practice. This paper is significant because for the first time we show how in one subset of acid-acid molecules the well-known Hammett criteria, used in understanding chemical reactivity, can be used in the successful design of co-crystallising molecules. This paper resulted in an invited review of the area by the Royal Society of Chemistry.
