Additional information

In transport economics, many important inferences from econometric models, such as the value of time, are not the estimated coefficients themselves, but functions of these coefficients (e.g. a ratio). The paper provides an exact analytical method for establishing the precision of such inferences. Professor Kenneth Small - a highly distinguished researcher in the field - recommended this method, in preference to existing simulation methods which offer only an approximate measure of precision (Small, K.A. (2012) Valuation of travel time, Economics of Transportation 1 (1), DOI 10.1016/j.ecotra.2012.09.002).
